Hey wiznerds!

It's been quite a while since I've updated, but I've been hard at work preparing for Wrockstock this year. I'm so excited and I can't wait to see all of you there. In fact, I'll be releasing tracks off the new album Pretending For Real one by one until I finally release it Halloween weekend! I've got one track already up on my Bandcamp page so you can check it out here. Let me know what you think. I'm really excited about this new album and I can't wait to share it with you all. So that brings me to deciding what I want my new t-shirt design should look like. I happened to be passing by fabric crayons in the store while hunting for a new sketch pad and I bought a pack to try them out. This is what I doodled up tonight:

I kinda like how it came out, but I am having some doubts about how you guys might feel about it. Lemme know what you think. Each shirt would be hand-drawn by me, heat set, and ready for wearing. I've just gotten this one out of the dryer after washing it and it looks pretty swanky. I may change the design a little bit, but the style probably won't change much. I like the doodle look. Plus it's full color and that's awesome! What do you think?

So much to tell you guys about, but it will have to wait until next time. Keep your magic eyes peeled for another update and a new track from the new album!

It's been a while since I've updated for you guys. A lot has gone down since last we spoke. Spring tour with the Whomping Willows, JFF, Lauren Fairweather, and Snidget was AWESOME! If you didn't get a chance to see me, then now is your chance. I will be going on tour with The Sweetwater All-Stars, Rogue Bludger (formerly Statutory Snape), and Miss Parkinson starting in July. Lastly, I have a brand spankin' new shirt design! My computer may have died, but my spirit lives on through textile arts and the power of Linux! I kind of like the hi-fi, lo-fi design.

Zine + New Show 03/12/2011
 
I've always wanted to make my own graphic novella of some sort, but I never really had the material to do so.
I started thinking about how awesome it is to be a part of the HP wrock community and then it hit me.
I am going to make a graphic novel type zine about my times in the wrock community and just being a HP nerd in general.

I saw this Tumblr the other day - Look At This F*cking Wizard - and it made me laugh so hard...especially since I love the other blog 'Look at This F*cking Hipster.' Needless to say, the post inspired the first comic from whatever this is that I'm doing now.

Also, I've got shows lined up in the spring! You can RSVP on the Tour page so you can keep yourself informed. Constant vigilance! I have the shows listed in the Tour page as well as a quick ref in the side bar. There's no excuse for you to miss a show. NO EXCUSE! So mark your calendars, wizards!

Sorry it's been so long since an update. I've been so swamped with planning a spring tour and the upcoming CD release that I have hardly had time for anything else.

I guess you're wonder when this spring tour is going to go down, huh? Well, I can't release the details yet because we're still finalizing dates for everything, but I can tell you these two things:

1. It will be immediately after Wrock Wreggies and span about 2 weeks
2. It will be completely amazing

New merch and CDs will be available on the mini-tour as well, so start saving your pennies. I will let you all know the dates as soon as they are set in stone. This will be the first time I go out on the road and I'm totally stoked! It will give lots of practice for when I strike out solo this summer for the Tour De Firenze tour. It will also be a mini-tour, but it will be recurring throughout the year. I hope you will be a part of both tours and I look forward to meeting many new people along the way.

Next up, I have a new song preview up! 'I'm No Ghost!' will be on the upcoming album Pretending for Real and you can check it out on the Facebook page. I am currently working on a BandCamp for all you digital wizards. I came to the realization that my digital download section left much to be desired. You can still order your DD of all my music, but I think the BandCamp will make it easier for everyone involved. I'll keep you updated as more unfolds.

And the best new I've received I will save for a later date once I can officially comment on it. But hopefully it will make you jump around like a lunatic like it made me.

Ah, this has been a long time coming, wizards. I've completely redone the whole website and it's a little bit snazzier, doncha think? ANYway, new to the site are the mailing list sign up and the tour page. Most everything else is the same.

Check it out and feel free to congratulate me on finally getting this off the ground.Also, you might notice the URL is a bit different. Pretending For Real is my new album due to drop this summer, right before I hit the road on my FIRST TOUR EVER but it's also my motto. It's what we do every day as wizards and nerdfighters. I'll have song previews up for you as soon as I get my recording software to cooperate with me.
