2011 has been an exciting year for me. I got selected to play mainstage at Wrockstock, the largest wizard rock convention in the USA, I went on two US tours, and I got to play alongside some of the best performers in wizard rock!
Shortly before my spring tour, I started recording the songs for my new album, Pretending for Real, and released the date for the the album to drop right at summer tour began. Unfortunately, my one and only computer crashed in the midst of recording some of the final tracks from the album. Not only was the song I was working on lost, but all the songs I had ever recorded as well as every bit of information I had on my hard drive.
Sadly I was not able to recover any of the things lost, but I did manage to get the computer back up and running. I don't know how long she'll last, but I don't want to put any additional stress on it.
Now I am holding a fundraiser to help get a new computer in time to be able to finish recording my album in time for Wrockstock in October. I think I can do it alone, but I know I can do it with your help.

Things wrong with The Beast include:
- inability to have more than one application open at a time
- limited hard drive space after crash
- will not charge due to its busted battery
- overheats
- makes loud whirring noises when left on for too long
- loose power connection and USB ports
How You Can Help Out
I have set up a donation link where you can donate any amount you wish. This isn't like the Kickstarter I had for Tour de Firenze this summer, it's a personal donation fund that doesn't have a set ending point. All the proceeds will go toward the purchase of a new computer and anything left over will go toward producing my new album. I am dependent on how much money I raise and it will greatly effect the machine I am able to afford. Any and every donation will be greatly accepted and appreciated!
How do I donate?
How do I donate?
Simply click on the Donate button below and you will be directed to PayPal where you can donate any amount you wish to contribute. Please include your email address in the 'special instructions' so I can contact you about any donation gift you might recieve and to let you know when I finally get my computer.
What do I get for donating?
Sadly, I can't give everyone a gift for donating but there is still some incentive! All donations $15 or over will get a free digital download of Pretending For Real. All donations $30 or over will get a free digital download of all my albums, including Pretending For Real. All donations over $50 will get a free signed copy of Pretending For Real mailed off to them and a complimentary digital downloads of all the albums. All donations $100 or more, will get signed copies of all my CD's including Pretending For Real, plus their digital downloads, and a signed color copy of Correspondence Course, my wizard rock 'zine.
What is Correspondence Course?
It is a mini graphic account of my experiences in wizard rock thus far. Some of it's funny, some of it's sad, and all of it is awesome. I lost all the pages I'd been working on due to the computer crash, but I have all the pages done in my sketchbook. You can check out a few of the existing pages here.
What if I don't have $25 dollars to donate to get a gift?
You can still help out by purchasing my existing albums on my Bandcamp page. All the profit I make from merch from this point until October 1st will go directly toward the purchase of a new computer. And that includes all my online sales as well. You can still donate any amount you wish, but if you haven't gotten my other two albums you can buy them now and still be able to help me reach my goal!
I want to donate, but I don't have a credit card or PayPal account.
Not a problem! You can still help out be passing the word around via Twitter and Facebook. I will keep everyone updated on the progress of the fundraiser so you can relay the message on to your friends or simply link them to this page.
Can I mail donations?
Sure! Cash isn't good to send via the post, but money orders and checks are perfectly fine. If you want to mail in donations, please contact me at [email protected] so I can send you my address.
If you have any other questions, feel free to email me and I will send an answer directly back to you.
